Audition tape: NBC’s Ellen Degeneres Show

In 2004 Pearl Alsten, described as one of Ellen Degeneres most ardent fans, turned 100-years-old in time to be offered a possible walk-on for Ellen’s 100th show. Producers requested an audition tape so that they could see Pearl walk and talk and get a general idea if she can handle questions asked that are not rehearsed. The audition tape had to prove that Pearl was lively, funny and  looked good on camera. We also used the taping to give Pearl a rehearsal for what she could expect for the taping at the NBC complex in Burbank.
