Coors Brewing Company

WalkePR handled the Special Lager special promotion where one-hundred local wait and bar staff, in teams of four, from twenty of San Diego’s top restaurants and bars competed to move beer kegs across a strip of beach to benefit Shake-A-Leg, an adaptive sailing program for physically disabled residents. The event, sponsored by Coors Brewing Company, was part of the official launch of the new Coors Special Lager, a new full-flavor 89-calorie beer.  The brewer pledged $20 to Shake-A-Leg for every keg successfully carried by the winning team. San Diego was one of only three cities selected by Coors Brewing Company in 1994 to test market Special Lager.
