Metro Wastewater JPA

From 1999- 2008, WalkePR, in partnership with Conlee Communications, handled the internal and external marketing communications for the Metro Wastewater JPA– a coalition of 15 municipalities and special districts that share in the use of San Diego’s regional wastewater facilities.  WalkePR and Conlee increased internal communications, raised member and consumer awareness to differentiate the Metro Wastewater JPA from the Metropolitan Waste Water Department (MWWD).  The combination of effective media relations and internal communications such as development of the Metro JPA logo, agency website and initiation of the monthly News Brief publication led to a stronger agency image and greater visibility.
